Boom Boat App Review

0

Several times adventure games finish up with slaughter people. I searched the App Store for a extensive time for an escapade game without blood and aggression.

I sense Boom Boat is a very good quality choice that would go with my 11 year old. It is all regarding bombing the oil gushers with a craft. As oil gushers are frightening the world saving and surroundings, the idea after the making of this game is really inspiring.

In this game a craft is given to the participant for his/her epic quest. He/she can control the faction of the boat just by leaning the phone. With this boat all the you require to do is violence the oil gushers. You have to remove the blocks that save the gushers from receiving bombed. You can do this by a range of means together with blasting them.

With outstanding designs viewing the boat and pointing the oil gushers in the world atlas it creates the right humor to play. It is uncomplicated, but not easy. It explains the game options with pictures, which I believe is a good idea. This game has 30 stages and each level has three confront objectives. You can grab up to 3 stars in each stage and you have to take all the 90 stars to set out as the best out of the best. You can shift to next level only after productively completing the previous one.

This game was up on app store few days back and there is no require for you to hesitate downloading edition 1.0 as all updates would come at no cost. It has reasonably less issues for a first edition. Boom Boat is attuned with iPhone, iPad touch and iPad. It only costs you $0.99 to save the earth from oil gushers.

Farts vs. Zombies App Review

0

We posted regarding this title several times formerly with the general idea of it and again advice you that the game would be on the app store quickly after it was resubmitted. Since the instance that I saw the clip I couldn’t get the diversion out of my mind which is the box even now after I’ve been playing it for being on end! Farts vs. Zombies makes all wrong with the app store precise.

The tale is a quite strange one and not done too well with a group of dissimilar things – but again that’s the magnificence of it at the equivalent time. I’ll say it now as a warning/reminder: the diversion involves farts, vomit, zombies, Japanese school-girls, and a colorful unicorn. If you’re at all shocked by these things, please don’t think concerning buy the game as it’s got a entire lot of this malice throughout all of the game play. But if you can put away the fact that there’s a fart airborne all over the place, the game’s core idea is appealing cool.

There are two forms of play. Both a operation mode and an originally locked endurance mode. In both of the modes you’ll be directing fart billows from your temperament, using the line-drawing technique that have made themselves famed on the app store, towards frightening zombies which warningly approach you from the correct side of the screen. This line-drawing that ties jointly with power ups, unusual types of zombies, types of fart clouds and even the aid from a close friend is really engaging. The whole thing in this game is hands-on from calculating the colorful clouds of farts to even the stress-relieving loading screens where you tap missing to release a flow of gas – unripe? Yup!

The only bad I’d see in the game play is that the fight mode does not have a equilibrium of complexity. The first level is very easy, and then unexpectedly the second level proves to be near not possible on the first try with too several zombies coming onto the display and a lack of vacant fart clouds. Along with that subject the diversion needs retina improved artwork which is in the works. put right = amazing game play!

Other than that issue, the game’s graphics are unblemished. I wish I had the talent that developers, distorted Games have with their artwork because its simply great.

Everyone is fairly not fully formed, but this just in fact brings out the immature kid in you. The enjoyable noise effects and all of the zombie-thwarting action is simply beyond price. $0.99 (introductory price, $1.99 usually) is nothing compared to amount of line-drawing fun Farts vs. Zombies brings to your gadget. Instead of using these tired genres that are seen in the app store in the incorrect way, the game deals with to create a great practice. Though filthy, it’s appealing and I’d easily judge it an app store gem within its type.

Burn The Rope App Review GAMES Review

0

Burn The Rope is the new iOS game available in the app store. The game is simple and fun concept for enjoy sensibly and challenging puzzle experience. This game has provided the same sense of experience as Angry Birds and Cut The Rope. I could understand the credibility of the app as it is ranked in top 3 in the games category.

You will presented with a rope and you will have to burn the rope as much as possible. In order to do this, you will tap the rope anywhere you let to set it aflame.

The designs of the ropes are extremely creative. I could see plenty of cute images like an ice cream, jet revolving around the planet. Between if your flame hits an intersection it will start burning in each direction.

Burn The Rope application must be controlled by using tilt controls. You will need to twist or turn your device to ensure that the flame keeps burning. Initially it was difficult to control the game as it required patience in figuring out just how long you need to wait before you can turn. To move up the level, you got to clear 60 percent of the rope to get a bronze medal and keep playing.

Draw A Race With Your Finger GAMES Review

0

Draw Race is an unique race app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

With this app you have to draw a race line with your finger. Then the real race starts. The speed of your finger decides the gas and the brake. It has a multiplayer option to play with friends. You can compete two players or a single player in this mode. There are no complex game controls for this app and it is easy to play.

If you select single player option, you have to compete with the computer. You can also try to beat your personal best in this option. It has a global and national league for network mode. The players can also select the number of laps and the place for the race. This app tries to give a realistic experience with skidding, braking and gas control appearances. You can also share your racing experience in Facebook through Draw Race.

Yes, it is true that this game differs hugely from the traditional race games. But we must also say that it lacks the thrill of traditional games. You can’t get into the seat of the driver with this app. So it fails in the sense of giving real hand experience of driving while playing through this app.

But this app is really worth trying. It is available at free of cost today. So you can give it a try without spending.

Egozoo, Fun Cardmaking App Review

0

If you are one of the millions that like to send e-cards and do the JibJab sendables, then the Egozoo app should be on your download list.
This app has sentiment themed scenes and allows you to record your voice then select music and/or sounds to customize the card. Once you have created the card to your liking, send it to Facebook, YouTube or email.
The themes to choose from includ Super Star, Merry Christmas, I Miss You, Happy Birthday, I Love You and several more.
The characters are really cute and well made. My kids loved this app. They had a blast recording their voices and manipulating the sounds then adding it to the card. The basic app is free and for only $0.99 you can add several more cards.

RegaSpellBee Review

0

RegaSpellBee is a English vocabulary trainer build in Quiz format to help you understand the spelling of the pronunciation for the non-English people. As the name goes by Bee, every word is pronounced by the bee and we need to type the correct spelling of the pronounced word. So lets have a descriptive look at the app.

Living in a world with billions of people English is not the widely spoken language. For a native English people like me the app sounds not useful but it greatly helps the non-English speakers to improve their understanding skills. If you are an non-English speaking people, then you may need this app to sharpen English vocabulary.

So how about kids? Does this app help them to be learn new vocabularies? May be NO. RegaSpellBee to some extent won’t be useful. RegaSpellBee has most of the common vocabularies that are used on daily basis. So to my knowledge it may or may not be helpful for kids.

Selecting the play mode will take you to the game where we need to type the word that has been pronounced. The pronunciation are clear enough to understand and type in the correct pronunciation. Based upon your answers you will get the marks which you click ‘Quit”.

Finally RegaSpellBee is something that is helpful for non-English speakers to improve their vocabulary and their listening skills.

Flying Hamster Review

0

Flying Hamster manages to have it both ways: it’s a handheld game that’s light and silly, but it’s also a fast-paced action game that’s challenging and tough to put down.

Flying Hamster can be classified as a “horizontal shooter.” This means the player controls a flying object, which shoots projectiles at enemies as it movies from left to right, through linear, two-dimensional levels. In a typical horizontal shoter, the player controls a World War II era jet, or a space ship, firing missiles or bombs at Nazis or aliens. This time, the player controls a flying hamster. The object is to shoot things like bees and berries at enemies like cartoon penguins and anthropomorphized flowers.

I’ll say it again: this game is silly.

It is also a lot of fun. There are six levels of increasing difficulty. So, while at first, navigating the forest is a breeze, by the time you make it to the ancient Egypt level you’ll be on the edge of your seat. While the graphics are 2D and cartoonish, they’re by no means sloppy. The graphics are optimized for the iPhone 4’s retina display, but even on a 3GS the images were crisp and bright. The game has a definite Japanese feel, with all the animals erring on the side of cute. Newton the hamster– the protagonist of the game– has huge beady eyes, as do most of the enemies. The object of the game is to rescue Newton’s equally cute hamster girlfriend, who has been kidnapped by other cute animals for some reason.

Don’t get hung up on the details. Gameplay on the touch screen is intuitive and quite responsive. Newton’s flight path is controlled simply by dragging your thumb around anywhere on the touch screen, as if moving an invisible joystick. The weapons and powerups are deployed by tapping either of the on-screen A or B buttons on the bottom right. It’s just like countless arcade shooters from the past, so picking it up is a cinch.

Flying Hamster is a very well thought-out game, so much so that it’s hard to find any criticism against it. The controls can be changed, the level of difficulty can be changed, and there’s plenty of variety and replay value. The graphics and thematic material will appeal to players of all ages and genders, as will the difficulty of the game. Older players will be reminded of Reagan-era arcade classics, and younger players might think it’s just fun and novel. For this reason, Flying Hamster is recommended for just about any gamer with an iPhone or iPod Touch.

BulleTrain .22 Review

iPhone App - Designed for the iPhone, compatible with the iPad

Downsized Games sticks it to… er… Elaborate Acquisitions with a blatant knock on their mega corporation “man”-ness.

A bit of background history is needed before you start playing BulleTrain .22. The folks over at Downsized Games were former employees of Pandemic who were laid off when EA bought and dismantled the company, and they don’t seem to be too happy about it. BulleTrain .22, the first app by Downsized games is a direct knock on EA, and many of the game elements are parallel to what happened with the merger.

The story of BulleTrain starts with you as Miles Stone. You owned a business that was shut down by Elaborate Acquisitions (EA) with their super fast bullet trains. Instead of just taking his severance package though, he takes his giant delivery truck to the rails to “hand out pink slips… in BLOOD.”

Once you get into the game though it definitely seems that more was put into the vengeance storyline than the gameplay The game throughout is an on-rails shooter with you shooting bad guys that are shooting you from evil “JR’s” (JR owns Elaborate Acquisitions) bullet train. Think of it as Time Crisis, but on shaky rails and with no way to hide behind things. You shoot and shoot all the bad guys shooting at you, collecting short term weapons upgrades and food (health) along the way, but there’s really not much that happens. There’s no continuing story and no permanent upgrades to find or buy, so every level really is just an extension of the last.

To top it all off, the tapping (to fire) is very imprecise, leaving many bad guys to keep on shooting you after you are 100% sure you’d put 5-10 bullets in them. Fortunately the app lets you do multitouch shooting, but that almost accentuates the pointlessness of the experience. In the end, you’ll realize that you can’t dodge bullets, you can’t fully gauge how well you are aiming, and you’ll never really feel like you have a chance to beat the whole game.

As a commentary piece though, I did get a chuckle.

Honk Review

0

iPhone App - Designed for the iPhone, compatible with the iPad

Beat the ongoing struggle to remember where your car is and how much time is left on your meter with Honk. It’s a life saver.

Honk if you’ve ever put money in a meter and then forgot to come back before the time ran out, or even worse, remembered to go get your car but forgot where it was parked. Maybe I’m a bit abnormal, but I’ve had both happen to me on more than one occasion.

To the cloud! Oh wait, that’s for Windows 7. I meant, there’s an app for that!

Honk puts everything you need for finding your car/not getting a ticket into one place. The main interface gives you a cartoony car meter that you can set for whatever amount of time you want. When the clock is near the end, the app will remind you to go retrieve your car before the dreaded meter maid comes out to play. For folks like me though, the app also includes a GPS tracker that works with your compass (the car sets its location when you start the meter) and even allows you to take a picture of the spot, just so you know what buildings/trees to look for. You can also draw notes onto the picture to notate what parking spot/section you are in, which is great for concerts and sporting events. My only suggestion would be to add some sort of label system a la Pocket Labeler to make the note system a bit more legible.

For the 99 cent asking price there’s really no excuse not to buy honk, as it’ll save you a ton of money in future tickets. Even if you don’t use meters, Honk can easily double as a parking space finder with its handy GPS and picture functions. Just go pick it up, you won’t regret it.

mList Review

iPhone App - Designed for the iPhone, compatible with the iPad

mList doesn’t overdo it with bells and whistles, but that’s part of what makes it great. Pick it up for its great iOS integration and the slick interface.

mList is a handy to do list app that skips all the muck that dirties up the rest of the to-do list apps and just packages all of the built in to do list functions together. Through the handy mList interface (which I’ll get to later), you can add a phone call reminder, a text message reminder, an email reminder, and a calendar reminder. The key to the app though is its surprising simplicity.

The reason that mList is so simple is that it feels much like it is a part of the phone. To use the app, just hold your finger in the middle of the screen and slide it to the action you want to make. For example, if you slide it to email you will get a screen where you can type in who the message is going to, what the subject line will be, and why you are sending the message. Then after you set the time when you want to be reminded, it will push message you the reminder which will send you straight to an email screen with the “To” and “Subject” fields already filled out. Like the email, the calendar to do entry just works with the built in calendar app, and even uses the built in app to let you set reminders. Don’t worry though, all the items in your list are nicely laid out within the app for optimal viewing.

To do lists are usually such a drag for me, but something about mList makes me think that I could keep with it for a long time. Maybe it’s the integration with the built in apps that does it, or maybe it’s the great sliding mechanism used for adding events. Whatever the reason, I definitely recommend trying out mList.

Movie Stiller Review

0

iPhone App - Designed for the iPhone, compatible with the iPad

Movie Stiller is an odd little app that does nothing other than make your already shot videos smoother. It doesn’t take videos from within the app or anything like that; it just works its magic in post editing.

To test out the app, I decided to shoot a little one minute clip of my dog. She was on the bed at the time, so I figured that she would be still enough to make the shoot easy. Then I put the app through the ringer, walking 180 degrees around the dog, moving in and out to change the focus, and then switching from vertical to horizontal to see if the app could handle the stress.

My results came out as a mixed bag. On one hand, the app completely eliminated all of my normal camera handshakes (except for the violent intentional ones), but on the other it had a hard time keeping what I was filming in one place. I’ll take a few steps back to explain.

Once I turned the app on and selected my one minute clip, the app spent a good minute or two fixing it up for me to watch. Once the movie was processed, I watched it with a little blue box overlay. To eliminate the shakes, the app zooms in a bit to get rid of the small portion of the border that would otherwise be moving. The blue box comes into play as your re-sizer, just in case the shakes were really bad and the app had to cut a ton off.

The real problem with the app was that any and all walking movement resulted in motion craziness and black bars moving in from all sides of the video. The resulting video looks more like an art film with crazy motion rather than a smooth video that I would normally try to shoot. It turned out looking really cool, but it wasn’t really the effect that I was expecting.

To really get your money’s worth with Movie Stiller, you have to make an attempt to be still yourself. What I’ve learned from using this app, as well as some Mac programs that do similar things, is that there is no cure for The Blair Witch Project. The crazy shakes will be crazy no matter what, but an easy to use app like Movie Stiller will definitely make your minimal movement home videos a bid more tripod-worthy.
